You can clean up cigarette smoke on your walls with this... 2 cups lemon ammonia (smells better than regular and cleans just as well), 2 cups water, 1 squirt dishwashing liquid all in spray bottle. I have used this many times and it hasn't seemed to ruin my paint. Also use anywhere you would usually use 409. I spent 25 years with a smoker.
For maintenance cleaning my company uses this all-purpose cleaner https://www.aromatherapynaturals.com/collections/all-natural-cleaning-products/products/natural-all-purpose-cleaner

Soap and water, lots of elbow grease. Might be better to paint after this too.
Vinegar mixed with tap water! If the smell is bad place small bowls vinegar around the house and that will absorb the orders!
Years ago, we bought a house that had been smoked in. We washed the walls with Krud Kutter and a mop. Brown water ran down the walls. It needed to be washed several times. I would clean them, prime and repaint.
