We keep a box for all the remotes on our coffee table across from the TV. If we don't, it is possible they may become chew toys from most of our four dogs, especially the shepherd. Convenient and keeps them together in one place. Right now it is just cardboard, I am keeping my eye out for a wood box the right size.
you could try a decorative box with a lid and place them in there. Then the box can sit on table nearby. :)
You make an easy fabric holder that goes over the arm of your couch/chair. You can diy or purchase (Ross,TJMAXX, GOODWILL...)a tray that you can slide under your couch/ chair. Hometalk has a video on a nice DIY tray. And of course a decorative box with a lid.is nice. Keep your eyes open at thrift stores, and the stores I mentioned before.
