I find that clear caulk once dry is a super adhesive. You may want to do a test piece and see if "gluing" them with clear caulk will work for your purpose.
If the material is light you can use construction adhesive like No More Nails - assuming it’s indoors. Outdoors you will have problems with it holding due to weather.
Have you considered Liquid Nails?
