Hi there,
The first rules for a good lawn is a level area, with good drainage. You could improve the drainage by forking the , followed by areas. Try to raise the low areas that hold the water with more soil sprinkled on top. If this doesn't help, then I'm afraid it will be start over. Level, firm and lay Grass Turf or sprinkle seed in a period where you will be lightly to get rain and warmth If your ground is rather wet generally it might be an idea to add a bit of grit to your soil. You could also add a gravel trench around the lawn to allow water to drain off. Best wishes. Remember to Weed Feed and Cut during the season too............
I would dig up the sod in those areas, saving it so that you can relay it and then add some sand topped with top soil to those low areas and then replace the sod. This should resolve your issue.
How long ago did you lay the sod?
Hi, Chris,
Your soil may lack adequate drainage. In addition to leveling the ground, you may need some soil amendments such as composted manure and sphagnum peat moss, perlite, etc., added to existing soil.
Check surrounding areas for water run off that is being pooled in the areas you mentioned, and re-grade as warranted.
We've had this happen many times...it should be good you really can't kill sod unless its with a chemical.
