How do I get grass to grow where above ground pool was?
do I spray with weed killer first , dig ground up, what do you suggest
Hello Chris,
If you have a Bitch you are more likely to have this trouble! Unless you see the animal pee ,(Run out with a can of water) Then I suggest you water the ground every evening to try to weaken the acid . Other suggestion is take it for more walks?
Best wishes.....
Cut out a circle of grass. Dig it down a couple of inches. Tamp it. Fill it with smooth gravel. No rough edges. Take your dog to the circle to train him to go there. He will after 3 times. Labs are smart. To clean it, hit it with the hose. Of course pick up droppings, but urine can be rinsed down through the gravel. Problem solved!
My King Charles Cav used to do the same. I cleared a section in the very back of the yard (using the leash as a guide) and secured him to the fence each time he was due for a bathroom break. after a few days he understood where to go - if he stopped short i simply told him to go to the back and he's been going there since.
That was a good idea Sarge. It really amazes me how smart dogs really are. I love King Charles Cav... dogs. I have only seen one in my life, but have seen them in many old master-type oil paintings. They are beautiful. Thanks for the tip. Angie
