How can I improve a semi gloss wall that looks awful?
I just painted it navy with Behr and it looks horrible - you can see every flaw. Would sponging or texturized rolling help it?

Hello there,
I had a very bumpy ceiling and painted it in Flat Emulsion in a criss cross manner (litruary making crosses with the paint brush) It worked! My ceiling was a dark turquoise blue.
It seemed to make an interesting pattern that I was happy with and visitors commented on as being different from the normal plain ceilings....... Hope this helps.
A good reason to use satin or eggshell finish next time.
I agree with the above answers with using a lower gloss finish like a flat or eggshell. It will show less flaws. The higher quality paints will allow the flat finishes to still be washable.
Did you prime the walls first? Should have used flat, satin, or eggshell paint.
