How do I build a patio cover cheap?
I have a 13 x 14 concrete patio and need a cover for the fierce Central Texas heat. Contractor wants $4,000 which is so far over my budget. Any ideas?

I saw sail patio covers at Costco for a rather cheap price--about $30, if I recall correctly. If you need to, you could use two.

Hello, I have the similar problem, regret not making the screen porch larger. The sun is much too intense and hot making my newcdeck unusable.
My neighbor put up the sail -carabiner shades, they are very effective and attactive, withstood stormy weather, but Im nort sure about winter and snow, if they will be removed or not.
A pergola woukd be more substantial and structural but not as budget friendly.
