How can you block a chain link fence with artificial greenery?
I have a 4 ft. Chain link fence and I have a few dogs that like to bark at people and other dogs they see through the fence. I thought artificial greenery might be a good idea. Any ideas?

You can get some fake vines at the dollar store and weave them into the chain link. Homecenters also have slats that can be weaved into the chain link. Come in different colors that can be mixed or matched.

Hi Barbara, check out some of these ideas:

Faux greenery may work fine. I'm not sure it will last more than a year or two though. There are all kinds of "slats" that can be used to block chain link fences. Some are woven through the fence, some snap on. Some come with lifetime warranties. Others are likely to last only a few years. Amazon carries alot of types as do home improvement stores.
You can get sections of faux greenery on line in a number of places. Pro: it goes up fast. Con: it looks fake. Other Hometalk folks have alternative idea that you should consider. One other thing. . . watch your dogs. My dogs start barking long before they see anything. Mostly they hear footsteps or a door slam and then go into a tizzy which turns into absolute fits once they see the source of the noise. If that's the case, you may need to add something much thicker on the inside of your chain link - like fencing. Best of luck with your fur babies!
Your dogs also will bark if they cannot see what's making the noise/scent on the other side of the fence.
get a No Bark collar for them and train them not to bark.
