is it wood? Looks Gothic I say leave it like it is you can see all the relief/depth/shades really well ;could find flower pot/container that fits in hole on top with flowers or fern or piece of glass from thrift store to lay on top so you can use as table
European Baroque Rococo style table. Do you have the glass top insert? Maybe just clean it up a bit. Value with the glass about $350. If you don't mind losing value you can paint it or just dry brush it with a dark paint to bring out the accents.
Whatever you you do to it I am sure it will be beautiful!!! I kind of like the idea about dry brushing, just to bring out the intricate details in the carvings! Would LOVE to see what you have done to it in the end!
I love it as it is but it belongs to you. What you do will look lovely.
Do not paint. It is beautiful just as it is. I've had pieces wanted to look like that and it is hard to do. If you paint it bet you will wish you hadn't .
Omigosh! Don't paint it. I is beautiful as is. You should have a piece of glass cut to fill the open area and then enjoy the whole piece.
Would be perfect as an outdoor table so glass top would be good. Could also use it as a planter, just put a decorative pot in the middle. Wouldn’t paint unless you really want to, it’s a truly beautiful piece
