I grew up seeing newspapers used as cheap wallpaper in certain homes. Unless you seal both sides of the paper, it will quickly dry, turn yellow, and become a fire hazard with open fireplaces. But it would be a “rustic” look today. I’d really like to see your project on Hometalk. Best wishes!
Lots of newspaper. Wallpaper paste. Sponges to smooth out. Paint brushes to apply paste.
