How do I clean a hand tufted rug stains?
I have a beautiful hand tufted rug that had a spill of cherry coke! So now there's a red and a brown spot from the color separating. I'm pretty sure the rug is made of jean but do hard to clean! Help I love my rug and it hasn't even been down a year.

What is the rug made out of ???
First, blot at the mess to remove excess liquid. Then mix dish soap, white vinegar, and water into a solution and gently blot away the stain.
I think you mean Jelly roll rug. But it does not look like it,Jelly roll is long strips of fabric filled with batting they looks like cords/ropes. It looks like hand tied rag rug.Either way....I take mine outside and wash with Dawn & cold water(so colors don't bleed or fade) scrub gently then rinse with hose,do it while hanging over across lrg table so it doesn't get too stretched out & I live in AZ so it dries quickly. You can take it to laundry lrgest size front loader cold water delicate cycle woolite no fabric softener dry cool -low warm depending if it's all cotton.take a good book it'll take awhile
Its way to big and heavy to be put in a washer or even carried outside. The stain has set in I tried getting it out with a homemade stain remover that so far has worked on everything else. The rug is not jelly roll(filled with anything) it is hand tufted, very tight small intricate loops.
Try Folex, you can get it at Home Depot, it removes almost every kind of stain.
