You may want to add a cushion and/or pillows to the bench that match or compliment the color(s) in the rug. Fill the planters with flowers and/or vines that work for the amount of sun your porch gets. Check with your local nursery for the best plants.
Hi Linda. Put your rug in front of the bench. Put the table at one end of the bench. Put one of the planters on the corner table and put the other planter on the ground at the other end of the bench. Put the grill on the other side of the patio.
Adding some pops of color with fun patterned pillows would be great! I would add some plants to the planters too!
Can you send us a picture?
Hi Linda. There are really so many things you can do to a small outdoor areas. I would go with a welcoming cushion for your tush and two contrasting pillows for your back. A tall shepherd's hook to hang a couple hanging flower pots on. Depending on the light there for your flowers, will tell you what to plant or buy. The last thing I would do is move the grill as far away from your sitting area as possible and buy a cover for it. Usually out of site, out of mind works the gest. Maybe a nice candle and pretty holder for your table to bring the eye all the way around the space. Check out your resale shop for your cushions and throw pillows. You might even find a shepherd's hook or two there! Have fun, trust your instincts and your local library for designs!
