Hi Marina,
Check with your local grocery stores - or even Wal-Mart. They have steam carpet cleaners that you can rent. I've used them several times for single rooms and they do a great job.
You can purchase a cleaning solution or DIY with diluted cleaning vinegar. Renting is one option but if you are going to be cleaning a lot, I would purchase a home steam cleaner. I purchased one for under $100 which was less than I could rent it a few times. I've had it 4 years and it has held up great. I bought the Bissell brand.
Rent a carpet cleaner. Better yet buy one. They are only about 150.00 for a decent one and mine has lasted for about 20 years. Think of how much you spend each rental. Plus you can clean any time you want before the stain gets set into the fibers.
I have a carpet cleaner, and it works great. For about the price of hiring a carpet cleaning service once, you can clean your carpet multiple times.
PS - You can easily buy a carpet cleaner on Amazon. I’d choose a highly rated one with lots of reviews.
