Paint the walls white ! Replace the window and / or the moulding area ( looks like it’s rotting) Get a new print shower curtain and install a safety grab bar if possible on your budget. Enjoy the new fresh look ! 🌷

  • The most budget friendly way that will make the greatest impact would be clean, paint, new shower curtain, new bathroom rug, add some wall decor and some matching fun towels.

  • I’d also like to add to the great suggestions above to add some peel and stick tiles.

Replace your floor with peel and stick luxury vinyl tile. Get an inexpensive 30" vanity with sink to replace the pedestal sink (you can find one under $200). Paint the walls a very neutral grey and the window molding a crisp white (if it is only a cosmetic fix, hard to tell if it is rotting in the photo or if the paint is just stripping). Replace shower curtain and liner.

Peel n Stick tiles for flooring (some as low as .89 @ Lowe’s & Home Depot)

remove & replace window trim & prime & paint w/exterior-grade paint. You can also replace rub surround with melamine paneling and caulk seams really good. I saw one recently that looked exactly like 4” square tiles for $20 for a 4x8 panel. A full repaint would brighten and of course a new shower curtain. Hope this helps. Good luck!

You can buy recycled sink, window, bath mirror and light at RESTORE/ Habitat for Humanity. You would be surprised at what people toss out. Sometimes they even have cans of paint donated by contractors. Hope there is one in your community.

We got a beautiful pedestal sink, lights and knobs for a closet that my husband built between the studs (watch for electric wires and not on an outside wall) from the Restore. We replaced the medicine cabinet with a large mirror. Painted it. Added melanin around the tub and made towel racks to hold four towels from dowel rods against one wall. The bathroom was the size of yours. It turned out great.
