How do I hide stains from glass doors that have lost the Argon?
The stains are light brown. I want light to come in, but I want to not use a film cover.

Hi Dianne,
If the stains are between 2 sheets of glass, the best thing to do would be to replace the glass - either do it yourself or call a professional. If you don't want to do that but want to cover it up, you could create a design on your window that takes into account the light brown stains and paint it with glass paint. I do think think that a film cover would bring in more light, but that's your choice, especially since a film might not even hide the stains. Eventually the glass should be replaced because it's no longer doing it's job. Here's a video that shows how to replace the double pane glass. Wishing you the best.

Hello Dianne,
The best bet is to have Glass replaced without changing the door. Glass provider or Window fitter. Hope that helps.
Off between the glass, really need to replace.
The stains are actually the film in between the glass panes. The glass panel needs o be replaced. Ace Hardware sells double glass panels and also install.
Hello Dianne, you can get a glass company to come out and measure, they make it and they come back out and replace the glass. Here it's Crystal glass that does it, I got our bay window done for $700. Now if you are brave, you can try to take the window apart clean in between the panes and run a bead of mono 555 to reseal it, I did that with our old windows until we could afford new ones.
