Put back on the stove add water till about one inch add dish soap then let it boil then lower and scrape with a spachula if it doesn’t come off let boil more then lower and scrape
Here's a tip that always works for me: cover the bottom of the pan with distilled white vinegar (apple cider works too, but I try to save that for the good stuff and use the less-expensive white vinegar unless I'm in a pinch). Let is sit for several hours or overnight. Then pour off the vinegar and use a bit of dish soap on a steel wool pad to whisk the burnt residue away. Works beautifully. Best to you, Jane!
Vinegar and baking soda soak with boiling water. The bubbles help lift the burned on matter. You can also use a dryer sheet and very hot water, both overnight.
