Hello I glove up with disposables ( wear protective clothing too) and try to hand remove the offensive weed as it’s easier to pull when small. I’m times I use a surgical hemostat twisting and twirling ( spaghetti like) in the loop like fashion to pull the weed out.
I buy one of those dish washing sponge wands - the kind with a sponge on a handle you can put dish soap inside it. I put weed and brush killer in the wand and brush it on the leaves at least once a week until it dies. Brushing it on instead of spraying it saves your flowers from accidental over spray. Make sure you keep your poisonous wand out of reach of children!

Hi Sylvia, Fill a spray bottle with undiluted white vinegar and spray the leaves and stems of the poison oak plants in your area. In a few days, the plants should die. Remove the roots if you don't want them to grow back. Spray bleach on the plants as an alternative.
