I love this idea as I did it a few years ago around the side of our house. I just lined up the cinderblocks so the holes are facing up some of them I stacked up to make taller planters. And then eventually I spray painted the outside of them. It works perfect for the herbs and small non-spreading plants. This year I think I’m gonna try some creeping vines
