Hi ! I found the best carpet cleaner at home depot for about $6 ! It is called Folex . It is a spray spot removed that can also be used in a carpet cleaning machine . I have some spilled coffee stains and some sap, from our backyard trees, on our beige carpet . I bought this stuff and was amazed at how well it worked . It gets out ink , wine rust and even dried paint ! . I paid for a service to come in and clean the carpets before we moved in , it came out okay . About 2 and a half years later I tried this in my sister's carpet cleaning machine , it came out better than the carpet cleaning service . I even keep some in a spray bottle in my laundry room !
I use a handheld Bissell cleaner for spot cleaning on a rug. Put a carpet cleaner formula in the machine and spray with the nozzle. Lightly scrub and suck up all the liquid. It does wonders to remove stains and you can also use this method on upholstery. I have also tried a powder Resolve for removing stains on carpet and have gotten great results as well. Good luck!
I have used a Resolve spray on and scrub with a brush.
Use 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 1 tbsp. of Dawn dish soap, and fill with water. Spray area liberally and let soak for 5-10 minutes and then proceed with blotting with a clean, dry towel until stain is removed. Some carpet stain removal products can be of great benefit for combating many types of carpet stains.
