How do I landscape a yard when it is a duplex that I live in?
I need, easy to take with me, landscape materials and potted shrubs/flowers. My yard is uneven, dirt and mud.

Have you talked to the landlord? Maybe you could get them to either landscape the grounds.
I used to live in duplex and got together with the other tenant to devote a few days to pulling out junipers (we used a car) and replacing with lilies that were mulched with some nice large bark.
Opted for tiger lilies since we both liked the bright orange with black dotted blooms. In between the plants were had placed semi large rocks to break up the look. Tried to make it natural looking and not all planted in a row.
