Laying pavers isn't hard. I have used both bought pavers and made my own. I tilled the path down about the depth of the pavers I was laying and leveled the area off. Then I laid the pavers in where I wanted them and put dirt back around them and tamped them down. I know there are more complicated ways of doing it during prep of the area but mine has worked well for 25 years. Of course it may have something to do with the South Virginia red clay which really compresses and hardens during the hot summer. What ever, I planted small plants that you can walk on between the pavers and they look great. I can mow over them to keep them trimmed and neat.
