MAYBE TRY HAIR DRYER.
I had a client whose idiot girlfriend knocked over a full orange candle in a jar that splashed all over the wall and carpet. I took my iron and lots of old soft cotton and was able to iron it off with not even a stain. I did use a plastic scraper to get large pieces off first.
Wax has a low melting point. A hair dryer should be hot enough to doften it so it can be wiped away with a rag.
