How do you seal a tile floor?
I have a stone tile floor that has a rough, stucco-like finish. Even when new, it was dull and never looks quite clean. I am wondering if I could put a sealer on it to perk it up and make the maintenance a bit easier. Does anyone have experience with this?

Virginia, I have natural stone tile backsplash. It's important to seal it. The best time to seal is when it's brand new. If older, take time to thoroughly clean it first so you don't seal in the dirt. There are several different dealers in on the market. For mine, I just used grout sealer and reapply every few months. There are better stone sealers available that will last much longer.
Natural stone does need sealer usually yearly or high traffic areas need more often. We have a flag stone or slate patio. I donit yearly. Just make sure you have the right sealer for that type of stone.
