How to get rid of pesky white flies?

I can't seem to get rid of these flies that attack me as I open my patio doors to go into my back yard. I have an electronic zapper out there but it doesn't even faze them. Help! I want to use something that's not harmful to us but will do the job, I'm captive in my own home!!

Those electric bug zappers kill lots of beneficial insects. Neither flies or mosquitoes are attracted to light so the zappers do more harm than good.
