Rain Gutter Grow System by Larry Hall is there anyone doing this??
Searching for others here who have used this system.
We bought an inexpensive new garbage can at Walmart for our water barrel, cut a hole in it the drain gutter off the roof would fit, used a flexible drain and put it in the lid of the barrel. It works great! If we needed more, we could connect another barrel with pvc pipe and fill a second one when this one is full if we wanted.

How to Make a Rain Barrel From a Trash Can
I don’t know how to make one but you should be able to find one on the cheap on Craig’s List. I actually bought one last week for $15. You can also buy a food safe barrel but they are more expensive. The barrel I bought was only used for grain storage but I’m not using it for potable water.
Check with your water company, ours gives them out for free.
