It takes a lot to redo a kitchen. If you have no idea on what you want or need, I think a professional kitchen designer is the way to go. I've redone a lot of kitchens, removing walls, adding a wall, moving plumbing and appliances, adding lighting (ceiling, undercabinet and in cabinet), adding an island or peninsula. You have to know what will work for you starting at the floor and going all the way up to the ceiling. Space is also something you have to take into consideration. What do you have room for? This might help to get you thinking about some of the things you'll have to do.
