How do you get a musty smell out of wood furniture?

    You might take it outside and let it sun, opening any drawers or bends if it has any.

    Soak a cloth in baking soda and water mixture, wipe wood down, follow with another cloth to rinse all soda grit , if any is left and immediately follow that with a good furniture polish. If there is fabric involved the musky smell is probably coming from the fabric and that can be freshened with a spraying of Fabreeze fabric spray.

    If has drawers, put a layer of kitty litter inside, shut it up for at least a week. Cleanup and wash down. Hope it all works out,

    I assume the smell is coming from the inside of the furniture, say a drawer or cabinet. You could try some Bounce sheets inside for a period of time. I used this method in a really old trunk that was sitting in an outside shed and the smell disappeared.
