Mix a thin paste of hydrogen peroxide and water. Wipe it into the grout and let it sit for 15 minutes and scrub with an old toothbrush.
For normal cleaning, I mop with this solution:
1 cup baking soda
1 cup white cleaning vinegar
1 Tbsp blue Dawn
2 gallons hot water (I boil about 1/3 of mine)
If you have a stubborn stain: paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, then scrub.
If it's more stubborn than that: Lysol Lime & Rust Remover Toilet Bowl Cleaner & Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
If it's white grout, apply straight chlorine bleach with a paint brush. Let dry.
I have 1/4" sanded, unsealed grout throughout my house. It's white/sand colored (what WAS I thinking???). I've tried many products and methods. But my go-to is a concentrated cleaner I purchase online called, "Quick Job." Prepare the cleaner as directed. I spray the cleaner on the grout lines and the tile, let it sit at least five minutes (but you can clean right away, too) and use a tooth brush for the lines, a regular cleaning brush for the tiles and wipe clean. I like to use microfiber cleaning cloths. I purchase them at Harbor Freight in our area. Really inexpensive and useful for cleaning everything! (No I don't receive any credit or kick-back for sharing the product name or any purchases of it, FYI). BTW: this can be used as a multi-purpose cleaner on myriad surfaces, even autos (great on the wheels!).
Most of these suggestions work well, but do require a lot of scrubbing. I found oxyclean with a bit of water to make a paste also works well. Sit for a bit then scrub with a toothbrush or other stiff brush. Wipe as you go. Whatever method you chose seal the grout afterwards or you will be cleaning it again.
