Can I use marble chips instead of mulch?
I planted a tomato plant in flower pot. .my son gave me a bag of marble chips .I used around plant instead of mulch .is it okay to use instead of mulch ? Thanks. .

Yep tomatoes are very strong and grow in just about anything. They are part of the cannibis family and that’s a weed.
Marble chips are pretty and decorative, but they do not allow rain to get down to the roots, also they do not hold in moisture after watering. Mulch does both.
I wouldn't...they get hot in the sun and may burn the roots
