TVs need to mounted on a wall bracket that fits the TV mounting holes. Brittany's video is good. If you want to cover the chimney with wood, ensure your structure has 2x4 studs to transfer weight. Sheetrock can form a new wall over the chimney. Fasten TV mount to studs,
As you are building your new framed out chimney, add your cable wire outlet and an electrical outlet to hide all your wires.
