They hate the smell of mint put mint plants along the borders of your garden or flowers they should leave it alone.
Deer supposedly don't like strong smells and tastes. Cayenne pepper, garlic can be boiled and made into a spray. You have to reapply after each rain though. Some people say Irish Spring grated like cheese sprinkled around the base of plants work. Google your question and you will find tons more ideas.
Sprinkle a mix of cayenne pepper & red pepper flakes all around the base of your plants. Good Luck :)
