Wash with TSP to get a clean surface. Let dry. Then prime. Then paint. Have you ever painted furniture before?
Clean it first with a bucket of water mixed w/ a drop or two of of Dawn. Quickly dry it thoroughly w/a dry cloth. The easiest way would be to take it outside and spray paint it w/gray. Remove the drawers to paint them separately in white. Of course you could apply the paint w/a roller and paintbrush but spray painting is easier and you don't have to worry about brush strokes. Good Luck.
Remove drawers and paint them white.
