Hot water mixed with a little dish soap. Pour it as close to the base of the weed as you can. It should kill the root of the weed
Try 1 gallon of vinegar and add a bit of dish liquid, (so it sticks to the leaves) and spray it on the weeds. Not good on a lawn as it will kill the grass.

These don't look like rats tails. I don't know where you live but they are indigenous to Africa. Ground Clear wipes out most anything.
