How can I use equine pelletized bedding other than for horses & cats?
I know longer have a cat & want to know how I can use the rest of the equine bedding.
Hi Shirley, I wonder if it would make good multch in a garden?
Yes. I hope that I can use it outside. Thank you
donate it to your local animal shelter or a rescue--is it pine or cedar?? Pine--depends if it's chemically treated, clean from oils & glue from manufacturing you can put it in your garden or compost. Cedar makes great mulch or put it inside a pet bed to repel bugs. Use as fire starter for fire pits, fireplace or grill.
you can still use it outside in garden, but really best in compost because if you add directly to soil or as mulch around plants it will depleat the nitrogen unless you add nitrogen(blood meal) along with it
Cedar can also be used as sachets.
It is pine. Thank you.
It's a great mulch or you can mix it with glue or wallpaper paste and turn it into a "clay" for making bowls. Here's a great tutorial to get you started - https://lifestyle.howstuffworks.com/crafts/home-crafts/clay-crafts2.htm
You're most welcome Shirley. Have fun
You could also donate it to an animal rescue organization in your area, or if you have stray cats in your area you could make cat houses for the colder moths and use it in them for bedding to help keep them warm. Or if there's an organization in your area that helps strays
Thank you so much.
