I had nowhere to store my sewing stuff, so I used Rubbermaid storage bins to store everything. I used smaller bins for smaller things and labeled each large bin with what was in the bin. I am trying to find a used chest of drawers for the smaller things so they are easier to get to, just having trouble finding one that I want. I have one in my dining room that I put table linens and things in, old pictures of my mom and dad and grandparents that are in frames and even a few fancy empty frames for safe keeping and it worked in really well.
Craft storage is difficult if you don't have a designated space. My craft room is my dining room. I have an armoire (not sure how to spell that) that I use for craft storage https://michellejdesigns.com/organizing-craft-supplies-with-oriental-trading/ and I made a spinning rack for my most used tools and I love it. https://michellejdesigns.com/upcycled-tiered-craft-organizer/ This helps to make room for other supplies. I hope this helps a little bit.
