Any ideas how I can turn this to build ins and fireplace?
When I redid mine I started with a new color of paint. Then new drapes, refinished my table and added new cushions to the dining room chairs. I added a large mirror with the frame painted to match the wooden curtain rod. The biggest thing was to make all items to work with each other. Not like after thoughts where nothing works together. One thing that did make a big difference was a good cleaning and repainting the all trim work a nice crisp white. My colors are gray, black, white and burnt orange. The wood adds a warm tone, while the other colors offer contrast.
Add a warm paint color, refinish the hutch (white would be pretty), maybe some white curtains and a new dining set. Any of the above alone would make a major difference!
Photo? Chances are what you have is just fine, you just need to update the room. New paint, mabe some wallpaper, new lighting, add a rug, switch the accessories around, add a table runner and change the centerpiece to go with the season or holiday.
Photos would help. What is it you want to do?
