How to cover unsightly steel posts?

We have a retaining wall which has these unsightly steel beam sticking up I’d like to cover them to look better and to be more safe

    You could make a wooden box to cover it. You can make as tall as you want, even put solar lights on top so they look like light posts.

    Can you add more wood to wall to make even with the beam, then add a plant in front

    It appears that the “I” beams are not in a straight row, so I would consider making planter boxes to enclose and disguise the beams. If they are in a straight line it would be pretty easy to connect all 15 into a box. If they are not aligned straight, I would enclose 2 beams inside a planter box, one at each each of the box. Skip the next stretch of wood, then enclose the next 2, etc. Not sure if all the moisture would slowly deteriorate the iron beams or if that would be an issue at all; if so you could paint them with a metal rust-proof paint. Or, extend the current bed into the grassy area and camoflauge with plants. Good luck!
