What could be eating my hosta flower stalks and flowers?
My Hosta plants were just getting ready to bloom and were fine last evening (7pm). Today I went out and all the tops of the flower stalks and blooms have been eaten off. No sign of deer or rabbit skat. No foot prints (ground is hard, no holes in leaves. Plants look great other than missing stalks and blossoms. Something also ate the tops off some of my smaller sunflowers. Again now signs of what it could be. I've never had any problems before so I am not sure how to proceed.

Hi Darlene. If you have deer in the area it is probably them. They love hostas.
Deer and rabbits love them. Shred Irish Spring and scatter about to keep them away.
Deer love Hostas & Sunflowers just like us. they don't like strong smelling herbs like Rosemary or Lavender(but will eat the plants if hungry enuf) 100% pure essetial oils sprayed around area(not on plants) might help depends how hungry they are.
