How to clean a super dirty gas grill?
our grill sits outside with a cover all winter. This past winter mice or squirrels used it as a winter condo. It’s full of acorns, droppings, etc plus it never got cleaned from last bbq season. Basically, I’m ready to toss it and call it a day but thought I’d give Hometalk a shot to see if anyone has an awesome idea for cleaning the grill!

Hi Sunny that sounds quite a bit like what my grill looks like every spring lol. Take the grates out and clean out the interior grill with paper towels. Once you get the worst of it you can switch to using steel wool or a steel brush to give it a good scraping. Put the grates back on and turn your grill on high and close it up and let it get as hot as possible then just scrape the grates down with your steel brush. If you don't have a steel brush for grills I would really urge you to get one, they help a lot! But there's no reason to throw your grill away.
Hi Sunny, this is Peggy. Here is a video I hope will help you get your gas grill ready for summer. I would take a shop vac and clean all the acorns etc. Good luck. nds)
