How can I fix a small narrow gouge in my dark oak floor?
My dark oak floor has a long, narrow gouge in it . Can't find the piece that came out of floor. How do I fix this small, narrow gouge? Is there a filler that can be used?

Hello there,
You could use dark oak wood filler, or maybe use dark oak coloured crayon rubbed across it. or soften the crayon and press it in. Let it dry hard and then smooth it down level........
try this furniture/floor repair kit might need to use actual wood putty depends on size of gouge https://www.amazon.com/Vanitek-Total-Furniture-Repair-System/dp/B0759MYP7X/ref=asc_df_B0759MYP7X/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216559542401&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13930599694914535968&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030040&hvtargid=pla-369194408382&psc=1
I have done this with a small gouge on the arm of a rocking chair, put a wet (not dripping) cotton towel over the area , then take a HOT iron (no steam) and touch the area. The steam from the towel brings out the wood fibers.
