How can I make over this enormous cabinet?
How do I fix this monster! It’s so big and overwhelming. It matches the vanity. If painting is a suggestion keep in mind that I cannot remove it from the wall.

Would it look better if you just took the doors off?
paint it same color as the walls and it won't appear so obtrusive
yes I agree, take the doors off and paint the back of the cabinet the same as the walls and paint the shelves color of your choice.
What is on the other side of the wall? We had a closet so my husband recessed the cabinet.
A bedroom wall.
Personally I would remove it, cut it above the two doors and remount it. What you can do is lightly sand it to remove any shine. Prime with Kilz primer and paint it same color or a shade darker than the walls. Just remove the doors to paint. Spray paint the hardware.
