We have hard water. Used Vim Cleanser to clean. Now under the rim is green so that is all you see. Have not been able to remove. Any suggestions?
Hi Lynn, this is Peggy. I use iron out (you can get it about any store), Let set about 10 minuets and then flush and clean with bleach. Good luck

I used CLR! Let it set at least overnight! Then scrub with pumise stone for toilets! I had a problem with this after moving out of my home & into a new one when I remarried! Being dormant isn't good for toilets! I let it soak for 3 days then chunks broke off & was able to clean with peroxide & baking soda!
Rust stains are from minerals. I use 2 cups of vinegar and let it set all night or all day if we will be gone, then srub it out. For more stubborn ones I use Mr. Clean Magic Toilet bowl scrubber. It finishes nicely. I do not use them first as they are expensive and our heavy metals in the water would eat up the pads in no time. This way the worst is soaked off and final tough spots are easily removed with the scrubber. Hope this helps.
Thank you DesertRose.
Lysol Lime & Rust Remover Toilet Bowl cleaner, comes in a black squirt bottle. Scrub with Scrub Daddy or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. For really stubborn issues, an emery scrubber or scouring stick might be needed.
Thank You Kathy.
