Try to peel off as much as you can. Nail polish remover, Goo Gone, WD40.
Pour boiling water over it to loosen the sticky off the back.

We have hard water. Used Vim Cleanser to clean. Now under the rim is green so that is all you see. Have not been able to remove. Any suggestions?
