Wear protective eye goggles and long sleeves to protect yourself. You will need to purchase a tool to loosen and remove the tiles, get one that enables you to do this from a standing position. Remove baseboards. Then start wedging the tool under each piece of tile to loosen and remove. You will probably need a hammer to tap the tool. You may want to remove the grout first, the difficulty will dictate if you need one. If getting started is an issue, you can take a hammer and bust tile pieces to start lifting.
As each piece is loosened, discard into a plastic garbage can. Remember this will get heavy fast so check periodically to make sure you don't over load it.
