How can I paint old dark wall paneling?
I was wondering if I could paint dark brown paneled walls? They have been in the house since I was a kid in the late 1960’s. Can anyone give advice on how to makeover the paneling with paint or anything else?

You will need to use Kilz oil based primer with adequate ventilation the fumes are toxic this would give you a good base after this dries completely you'll be able to use any type of paint it's a possibility that they combined this primer and paint in one product you would have to ask if the paint store I used to be a professional painter but I have been retired for quite some time I know they do make Paint & primer in one product I'm just not sure about the oil base good luck
It will look great painted! Sand, prime and paint. :)
