What do you want to plant? Companion planting can be important. In addition, spacing of the trees is crucial. They need to be spaced to account for mature height and width, otherwise you will have underdeveloped trees and you may loose some due to overcrowding and poor placement. Something that comes into play with assorted fruit trees is whether or not they are self-pollinators.

If they are, then no concern about needing compatible trees for cross pollination. On the other hand if you need to cross polinate, then you would need compatible trees. It should tell you on the tag with the tree which are cross pollinators and which are not. Best to you.

Raquel...l am no expert but my grandparents did groves for their fruit trees such as; apple..peach..plum. Those were the days..going yo the groves!
