I blog as much A I can, apply Dawn dish detergent, work it in well, and then wash it. No dryer until you are sure it's out.
There are many.

Submerge in cold water asap. Dawn dish soap, laundry detergent, even shampoo will work. Do not place the item in the dryer until the stain is completely gone. Heat sets stains.
DAWN PLATINUM & a tooth brush. Pour a little Dawn onto the stain. Brush it with a few drops of water until the stain turns loose. Rinse with cold water & repeat if necessary. I agree, the dryer will set the stain if not removed completely first.
If those don't work, try a mixture of Dawn, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Mix the 3 ingredients well, apply to stain and work in with a toothbrush. Be sure to put a paper towel under the stain so it doesn't go thru to the back of the garment. If it doesn't come out first try, rinse with cold water, and try again. I've had great success with this mixture many times with many stains. Works great on grease stains too.
