I tried to clean this grout and chalk that's old and yucky. Nothing works. Should I peel chalk off and put new chalk on? And paint on grout?
All you can do is leave uncovered to let them fade. The yellowing is caused by a chemical reaction to the. Covering and backing of rugs. Two petroleum based products don't like each other. Kinda burned the floor. Sorry.
Use one cup of lemon scented ammonia to one gallon hot water.
You can try scrubbing it with a soft brush and some BarKeepers friend cleanser. You can also try some bleach water. You may get some of it off but probably not all of it. It is a chemical reaction that becomes part of the vinyl.
