Maybe you have a lemon? It’s happened to us. My husband hates plumbing jobs! Did you use plumbers tape where you needed to?

When you took out the old cartridge did you make sure to clean any bits of residue and/or scale away? Have also found that some of the cartridges have an up or down placement. AND like Judy mentions defective parts are COMMON in today's marketplace.

When you say leaking, from where? They're not dripping? Are they leaking from the threaded portion, if so you may need to change the entire faucet because the O rings on the cartridge are not sealing properly, due to corrosion on the walls. You can see and feel the rough surface.
