What is the best way to install drainage for a sinkhole?
A sinkhole sprang up a few months ago under the side of my deck. It is three feet around and five feet deep. I have filled the hole with large rocks and small ones along with dirt. Should I install a French drain from the bottom of the hole to my drain pipes for my gutters?

Definitely hire a professional
You might temporarily resolve the issue by placing drainage pipe in the hole and into your other rain pipes to move any accumulate water. There must be a reason why it sank in the first place. Is there a water leak under there? If so, you need to fix that first before filling it in. If the sink hole is that close to your home you need a professional to look at it before you do anything.
Where I live, a sink hole can be mine subsidence. If you live in an area where there was mining, get your local agency in to check it out.
I would absolutely consult professionals about this, you don’t want to mess with it and things get worse.
I agree, hire a professional to find out the cause of this and then proceed from there with what to do. Best to you.
